Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy describes how Metabolic Meadows LLC ("we", "us") handles information when you use the GroundKit iOS application (the "App"). By using the App you agree to the practices described below.

1. Information We Collect

GroundKit is designed to work without sending your data anywhere. Specifically:

• No account, no sign-in. You don't create an account. We don't ask for your name, email, or password.
• Garden and soil data. N/P/K values, planting calendars, crop selections, soil test scans, and notes that you enter are stored locally on your device using iOS's standard storage (UserDefaults and the App's sandbox). This data never leaves your device.
• Camera and photo library. If you choose to scan a soil test report, the image is processed on-device using Apple's Vision framework. The image and the extracted text are not uploaded to us or to any third party.
• First name (optional). If you enter a first name during onboarding, it's stored only in your device's local preferences. It's used to greet you on the home screen and is never transmitted.
• Diagnostic data. If you've opted into iOS's app analytics in your device's Settings, Apple may share aggregate, anonymized crash and performance data with us. This is controlled by you in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Analytics & Improvements.

2. Subscriptions and Payments

GroundKit Premium subscriptions are sold and processed entirely by Apple through the App Store using Apple's StoreKit framework. We do not receive, store, or have access to your payment details, credit card information, Apple ID, or billing address. Apple shares with us only an opaque purchase confirmation that allows the App to know whether your device has an active subscription.

You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time in iOS Settings → [Your Name] → Subscriptions, or in the App Store app.

3. Third-Party Services

GroundKit version 1.0 does not use any third-party analytics, advertising, attribution, A/B testing, or crash reporting services. The App makes no network requests other than what Apple's StoreKit performs internally to validate subscriptions.

4. Data Retention and Deletion

Because we don't have your data on any server, there's nothing for us to retain or delete. To clear all data the App has stored on your device, open GroundKit and go to More → Clear All Saved Data. You can also delete the App from your device, which removes all of its local data.

5. Children

GroundKit is not directed to children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. Because the App does not collect personal information from anyone, this is satisfied by default. If you believe a child has provided personal information through the App in error, please contact us.

6. Camera & Photo Library Permissions

The App requests permission to use your camera and photo library solely so you can scan paper soil test reports. Apple requires apps to declare these permissions; granting them does not transmit any image data to us. All processing happens on-device.

7. Your Rights

Because we don't collect or store personal data on our servers, traditional rights to access, correct, export, or delete data managed by us do not apply — there is nothing for us to access or delete on your behalf. Your data lives on your device, under your control.

8. Changes to This Policy

If we add features in the future that change how data is handled, we'll update this policy and update the "Last updated" date above. Material changes will be highlighted in the App.
